GRAFFITI – FREIGHTS

When you can’t get to the graffiti, let it come to you. These images are the result of several years of benching freights in Toronto and my hometown. Freight trains present the complete range of what graffiti has to offer, rolling by you on a daily basis, from the rough and tumble of tags and throws, through to the end-to-end crew productions, along with the secret world of monikers. And, in an homage to Walker Evans and his March 1957 Before They Disappear portfolio from Fortune Magazine, here is some of the variety of old company logos that still survive on the rolling stock.
